Everyone loves the glitz and glamour of the runway. The outfits are splendid and the hair and makeup is a treat to behold. Men and women around the world wait in anticipation as new fashions are released. Many of the people watching also do so to see the unique looks created by the fashion show makeup artists.
Recently, the Makeup Girl attended Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, France. Veronica provided makeup for world famous model and fashion show producer, Jessica Minh Anh. While in Paris, Veronica got a firsthand look at the styles and beauty trends walking down the famous runway. She also got to help Jessica create her signature look day after day.
Many people watching Fashion Week unfold wondered if the looks they saw could be pulled off outside the runway. While there is definitely a lot of skill and attention to detail that goes into fashion show makeup, there are some fashion show beauty trends that can be recreated off the runway.
It’s important to note that just because you’ve seen it elsewhere, doesn’t mean it’s the only way that makeup should be applied. Beauty trends should be seen as inspiration. We all have different features and requirements when it comes to makeup application. It’s important to find a look that suits your individuality and uniqueness.
That being said, the following fashion show beauty trends can be recreated off the runway:
Dark lips and nude eyes is a look that’s been around for quite some time. Although many people avoid dark lips, those that embrace this look find that the right shade makes their eyes pop.
Using neon colors is a unique way to add color and style to your look. However, it’s important not to overdo it. Try a bright colored lipstick, or a neon shadow under your eye.
Adding sparkle is one of the hottest trends this fall. Apply glitter to the top of the cheekbone, or near the outside of your eyes or brow bone. You can even apply glitter as liner.
The success of these looks depends on your features, skin type, and skin tone. A professional makeup artist can help you determine which looks will work and which will not.
